I was very lucky to have known Tim Hardin during the mid Sixties. He lived with Susan at Miller Drive in LA, the same house that Tom and John Law were raised in. When Tom and I were living in the Castle I took photos of Tim in the jade gardens and was hired by Verve Records to do his first Album, Tim Hardin #1. I did the layout as well.

These liner notes written by Tom Law were never used but they say it like it is.

"Tim Hardin was born December 23, 1941, in Eugene, Oregon. His parents are both musicians. Tim's father is a jazz musician, his mother a classical violinist.

After quitting high school to pursue larger musical scopes for himself, he played and sang to an almost legendary response in the music world.

Tim has held back his first release for five years, and now feels his work is mature enough to be heard. I'm sure that satisfaction holds no place in his consideration for himself, but, hopefully listeners will make good his efforts and understand Tim Hardin to be probably the most important new artist in years."
